Inlays Onlays Cavities Dentist - Elite Dental Wellness Houston

Tooth Colored Restorations

We offer porcelain inlays and onlays to patients who want to look their best. We can match the color of your teeth with the restoration so your inlay or onlay restoration looks like a part of your existing tooth.

Dental inlays and onlays are used to repair teeth that contain sizable faulty fillings, are disintegrating due to injury, or may have broken down due to stress or deterioration. Inlays and onlays will be considered before crowns since they require less tooth composition to be removed.

Porcelain Inlays

A customized filling that consists of gold, porcelain or a compound material is called an inlay restoration. In general, people love porcelain inlays due to the fact they look like natural teeth. We have the ability to fabricate porcelain dental inlays right here in our office. No need to wait for a dental laboratory.

An inlay helps restore your tooth to normal function. Porcelain dental inlays are very resilient and will typically endure for several years provide you with a healthy and attractive smile.

Porcelain Onlays

Porcelain onlays are very similar to inlays in terms of what materials are used for the restoration or filling. Porcelain onlays also look like your natural teeth, which is a good reason why they are so popular. An onlay can sometimes be called a partial crown. We will permanently cement your porcelain onlay into your tooth after it has been fabricated by our in-office milling unit.

What Can I Expect from my Dental Inlays & Onlays Procedure?

Typically, only one appointment is necessary for a dental inlay or onlay procedure. First, we start by either taking a number of very precise digital impressions or traditional dental mold impressions. If digital impressions are taken, we produce the restoration and customized inlay or onlay and place it in the same appointment.

If traditional molds are taken, we will send it to a dental lab and a second appointment will be needed to permanently fit the final restoration. The use of digital or traditional molds is determined by the condition and area of your tooth.
